Class Descriptions
Basic Sculpt
Our Basic Sculpt classes are a great optional transition class after your Beginners Technique Course, designed to increase your confidence.
This style of class runs at a slower pace than Full Body Sculpt and Lower Body Sculpt, and caters for those who may not feel ready to join the regular classes straight away or who find the regular class intensity too hard.
These classes will build on the Beginners content, giving you the opportunity to learn new exercises and practice the flow of the movements. Basic Sculpt will prepare you for entry into the regular classes as soon as you are ready.
Full Body Sculpt
Our Full Body Sculpt classes are one of the four great choices after your Beginners Technique Course. Existing PFIWA clients will also benefit from the focus on developing the perfect Pilates technique!
In our Full Body Sculpt classes you will learn how to incorporate small props, such as the theraband, small Pilates ball and Ultralite Pilates Circle (Magic Circle), to increase the diversity of your Athletic Pilates workout.
You will be amazed at how quickly you will see and feel the results. With regular attendance at your Full Body Sculpt classes you will love your new body’s strength, flexibility and shape!
Lower Body Sculpt
Lower Body Sculpt is one of the four class styles you can start with after your Beginners Technique Course, while still providing an extra challenge for existing PFIWA clients.
This class is designed to focus on the areas from your core down to your toes! You will work on re-sculpting and strengthening all layers of your abdominals, plus toning and shaping your thighs, hips and gluteal muscles (bottom), giving your body a streamlined look.
These classes also involve calf and ankle strengthening for improved stability, as well as correct tripod foot placement to help with arch support. This translates into perfect posture and better results.
Pilates Fitball
Our Pilates Fitball classes are great for men and women who have recently completed the Beginners Technique Course, as well as those who are more experienced and would like to try something different.
These classes use the Fitball to challenge your core muscles to achieve a full body workout. This is an excellent exercise tool, as it allows for a greater range of motion within abdominal work, while being very supportive for your back, neck and joints.
The instability of the Fitball will strengthen and challenge you in a different way to your floor classes, adding a unique variation to your Pilates training, helping you progress to achieve the results you want.
Stretch & Core Balance
This style of class is designed for existing PFIWA clients and beginners who are starting with a good body awareness, who are looking for more of a challenge than Full Body Sculpt and Lower Body Sculpt classes.
Our Stretch & Core Balance classes combine intense abdominal control exercises with the flowing integration of Pilates stretches. Enjoy the focus on whole body strength, balance and flexibility to challenge your core.
If you have a good transverse abdominal connection then this class is the perfect challenge for you! If you aren't sure if your technique is ready for these classes, please just ask an instructor.
Power & Sculpt
These classes are designed for those who are looking for more of a challenge. Power & Sculpt is for all existing PFIWA clients who would like a faster flow with a higher intensity!
You will need to be confident in your ability to move freely and quickly from one exercise to the next – this way the class achieves the desired flow and intensity. During this class you will come across slightly more advanced exercises.
You must be injury free, or at a level where you are aware of your own limitations (variations will still be given by the instructor).
