Pregnancy Pilates

Pregnancy is the ultimate life experience – it can be joyful, painful, emotional, daunting and exciting... all at the same time! Pregnancy Pilates is focused on achieving an optimum physical and mental balance during this time.

We have developed a safe, yet challenging Pilates program that will help prepare and strengthen your body and mind for your birth experience and assist in a quicker recovery.

There are many great physiological benefits for you and your baby:

  • Long, toned thighs, hips and calves
  • Firm up that bottom
  • You can feel confident with our highly qualified and experienced instructors, who know you by name and can individually tailor your workout according to your Pregnancy needs
  • Minimising the separation of the rectus abdominals, leading to quicker and easier reconnection after the birth
  • Specific pelvic floor strengthening exercises
  • Pilates breathing for relaxation, emotional control, labour pain management and expansion of the diaphragm to allow your baby to move more freely
  • Pilates breathing for releasing toxins from the body and also encouraging the oxygen flow to your baby
  • Strong core for postural support
  • Pilates attracts the blood supply to the core (where your baby is!), providing your baby with the most effective nutrient supply for growth and development
  • Controlled flexibility exercises within safe intensity levels
  • Upper body strengthening for feeding preparation and neck care
  • Use of the Pilates Fitball to improve balance, reflexes and core abdominal activation

What do I need to know?

The group Pregnancy Pilates classes are ongoing (you are not locked into a schedule), however bookings for classes are essential (please see the Book Online page to enrol)

The classes are suitable for all women, whether new or experienced in Pilates as long as you are past your first trimester. We ask you to provide a letter of consent to participate in Pregnancy Pilates from your GP, obstetrician or midwife.

Pregnancy Pilates Personal Training Prices

Initial Consultation (IC) - $90

IC + Four Pilates Personal Training Sessions - $420

Five Pilates Personal Training Sessions - $425 ($85 per session)

Ten Pilates Personal Training Sessions - $800 ($80 per session)

Three Month Package - choose how many times per week you would like your Pilates Personal Training for a three month up front or direct debit option ($75 per session)
