At Pilates Fitness Institute, our Mums and Bubs Pilates classes are designed to support you through the postnatal changes with expert guidance and genuine care. You’ll be supported by experienced instructors who understand your body and are there to help you move safely, confidently, and comfortably with bub by your side.

Our Mums & Bubs classes create a welcoming environment where both you and your baby are supported. With babies welcome in class, these sessions offer an opportunity to prioritise your own movement and wellbeing while remaining close to your little one and connecting with other mums navigating a similar stage of life.

Our instructors provide personalised guidance throughout class, helping you return to movement progressively and confidently at your own pace.

Our Postnatal Mums & Bubs classes are thoughtfully designed to support you as you rebuild strength, confidence, and connection with your body after pregnancy and birth. Guided by experienced instructors, classes focus on pelvic stability, posture, mobility, breathing, and overall wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment.

Mums and Bubs Group Classes.

Our Mums & Bubs Pilates classes run once per week on Tuesdays at 10:30am and are designed to support your postnatal recovery while allowing you to move, reconnect and rebuild strength with your baby by your side. In a welcoming small-group setting, you’ll focus on deep core connection, pelvic floor support, posture and breath using a variety of Pilates equipment including the Mat, Chair, Arc and small apparatus. Led by instructors with specialised postnatal training, these classes provide expert guidance, gentle progression and a supportive community.

The best way to begin is with our Mums & Bubs Intro Offer, try two Tuesday classes for $40, giving you the opportunity to experience postnatal Pilates with care, confidence and connection before committing further.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. Many clients begin Pregnancy Pilates with little or no previous Pilates experience. Our instructors provide guided support throughout each class and offer movement options to suit different stages of pregnancy, experience levels, and physical needs.

  • The best place to begin is with our dedicated Postnatal Mums & Bubs classes. These classes are specifically designed to support your return to movement after pregnancy and birth in a welcoming and supportive environment.

    If you would prefer more personalised support, are recovering from a more complex birth experience, or have specific concerns you’d like guidance with, private Studio Pilates sessions may also be recommended.

  • You can expect a supportive, relaxed, and understanding environment guided by experienced instructors. Classes focus on helping you reconnect with your body through thoughtful movement that supports strength, posture, pelvic stability, mobility, and overall wellbeing after birth.

    Babies are welcome in class, and we understand that every session may look a little different depending on feeds, naps, and your bub’s needs. Our aim is to create a space where you can move, feel supported, and ease back into exercise comfortably and confidently.

  • In most cases, we recommend waiting until after your six-week postnatal check-up and once you are feeling ready to return to movement. As every birth and recovery experience is different, we always encourage you to listen to your body and follow any guidance provided by your healthcare team.

  • Many clients continue attending with their baby until they become more mobile or begin crawling. Ultimately, this depends on your comfort level and whether you feel comfortable keeping an eye on your bub within the studio environment.

    Our classes are designed to feel welcoming and supportive for mums and babies, however they do take place in a Pilates studio with equipment and other clients present, so there does come a stage where increased mobility can make classes a little more challenging.

  • We’re at 9a, 248 Leach Highway, Myaree — a calm, welcoming studio designed for your comfort.

    Free on-site parking is available for up to 2 hours. You’ll find us just under Pet Barn and next door to Tyre Power on Norma Rd.

  • Yes absolutely. We have space for prams within the studio and aim to make attending classes as easy and comfortable as possible for new mums. Sometimes the pram will need to be left outside of the classroom but our studio is big with plenty of space for indoor pram storage.

    You can bring a bouncer, play mat or whatever it is that will be most comfortable for you and bub in the class.

  • Yes. Change table facilities are available within the studio for your convenience.

  • Yes. We have comfortable spaces within the studio where you are welcome to breastfeed, settle your baby, or take a moment if needed. We also have a kettle and microwave available for warming bottles or food.
