WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PILATES FOR PREGNANCY?
During such a transformative time, Pilates offers an enormous range of benefits for pregnant women and their growing baby.
Using the full range of Pilates Method equipment and exercises including Matwork, Reformer, Pilates Chair, Arc and more, these controlled, low-impact movements provide deep strength, improved flexibility, and enhance overall postural alignment in a way that is specifically tailored to your pregnancy needs.
You’ll not only grow stronger and more mobile, you’ll also help to reduce or prevent common pregnancy-related discomforts like back pain and pelvic instability and feel ready for labour and the parenting journey beyond! Together we will help optimise the positioning of your baby in utero through improvements to your alignment to assist with a smooth labour and the very best start to your post natal recovery too.
The Pilates method also focuses on a range of specific breathing techniques that will improve your pelvic floor functioning promote relaxation and stress reduction.

HOW TO START PREGNANCY PILATES
Group Pregnancy Classes
Look out for our dedicated Pregnancy Pilates group classes on our classes timetable titled Pregnancy Apparatus and Pregnancy Reformer. Within Pregnancy Apparatus Classes you’ll use a selection of Pilates equipment such as the Pilates Char, Arc, Fitball and Matwork. You’re also welcome to attend our Barre Attack classes which are Pregnancy appropriate too and are excellent for whole body strength and conditioning as well as the addition of cardiovascular options too. Pregnancy appropriate group classes are easily recognisable with the (P) at the end of the class title.
The best way to get started is with our Pregnancy Pilates Introductory Pass. This pass gives you two weeks of unlimited group Pregnancy classes for $75.
PRIVATE aND SMALL GROUP Pregnancy STUDIO APPOINTMENTS
Your Pregnancy specific Studio Pilates appointments will use a variety of Pilates equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac, Pilates Chair, Barrels, Matwork, Fitball as well as and other small props to tailor your exercise program to your needs.
Your instructor will start with a thorough assessment process where we will undertake a full history and dynamic movement testing process. From there you will move through individually tailored Pilates programs under the full guidance and supervision of your instructor in either a private or small group setting.
If you’re experiencing any specific Pregnancy injuries or complications such as major SIJ pain, pubis symphysis dysfunction, placenta previa, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, pelvic or back pain then Studio Pilates appointments aer the best for you and the results are incredible due to how specific with exercise prescription we can be for you.
The best way to get started is with our Pregnancy Pilates Studio Introductory Pass. You’ll begin with an Advanced Assessment Initial Consultation (allow 90 minutes) and complete a further two private appointments (60 minutes) with your personalised Pilates instructor. The cost of this pass is $284.

Your personalised, supportive return to movement.
This 60-minute 1:1 session is the ideal starting point for new mums looking to safely return to exercise. Whether you’ve had a straightforward birth or a more complex recovery, this appointment gives us the chance to really understand your body and goals before joining group classes.
What we cover in your assessment:
Your birth experience and recovery so far
Diastasis recti (abdominal separation) check
Pelvic floor awareness and function
Breathing mechanics and postural assessment
Core engagement and safe movement foundations
Tailored recommendations to guide your return to Pilates
You’ll leave with confidence, clarity, and next steps - whether that’s heading into Mums & Bubs classes, continuing with 1:1 support, or a combination of both.
Please note: We kindly ask that you attend your Postnatal Assessment or Studio Pilates sessions without your baby so we can focus entirely on your needs during this one-on-one time.
If bringing your bub is essential, just let us know in advance - we’ll do our best to find a quiet time in the studio that suits you both.

Need or prefer deeper support after birth?
Our Studio Pilates Appointments offer a highly personalised, 1:1 approach to help you recover, rebuild and move with confidence especially if you’ve experienced complications, trauma, or need more in-depth rehabilitation than group classes provide.
These private sessions are delivered in our fully equipped Studio using the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Mat, Fitball and other Pilates apparatus to create a tailored program that evolves with you.
Your instructor will begin with a comprehensive movement assessment and take the time to understand your birth experience, physical history and current needs. From there, you’ll progress through a personalised Pilates program under expert guidance in either a private or small group setting.

Pelvic floor dysfunction or prolapse
Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)
Pelvic pain or instability
Postural imbalances and weakness
Recovery from complex or traumatic births
We’re also happy to collaborate with your Women’s Health Physio or other allied health practitioners for integrated care.

You must have medical clearance before attending classes or studio appointments. -

This helps keep the class environment safe and focused.

Yes - you can feed or settle your baby at any time during class. There is also a wellness room that is sometimes available to use for privacy, if you’d like to use this room please have a chat with our friendly front desk team.
We also have a change table in one of our bathrooms for changing bub.

Yes - it can be used for most group classes. We recommend fundamentals classes to begin with.

Group class packs and the Postnatal Starter Pack have a 6 month expiry date. Individual classes or appointments have an expiry of 30 days.
Depending on individual circumstances we can extend the pass if required but this will be at the discretion of the studio manager.
