Movement Support
For Growing Bodies.
Children and teenagers experience significant physical changes as they grow. Whether they're navigating growing pains, developing confidence in movement, participating in sport or dance or managing a specific concern, personalised support can make a meaningful difference.
Our Children's Studio Pilates appointments provide individualised guidance designed around the needs of the child in front of us.
Private Studio Appointments
Children's Private Pilates Appointments provide personalised 1:1 support designed specifically for growing bodies. Each appointment is guided by a highly trained instructor who takes the time to understand your child's movement patterns, physical development, activities, goals and any areas of concern.
Using specialised Pilates equipment and individualised programming, Children's Private Pilates Appointments are tailored to the unique needs of each child and evolve as they grow. Appointments may support posture and movement development, growing pains, sports performance, dance training, injury recovery and scoliosis management where appropriate.
Whether your child is looking to move with greater confidence, improve performance in their chosen activity, or simply develop stronger movement foundations, Children's Private Pilates Appointments provide a supportive environment where they can learn more about their body and build skills that support lifelong movement and wellbeing.
How it Works
1. Begin with an Initial Consult.
Your child's journey begins with a 30-minute Initial Consultation with their instructor. This appointment allows us to understand their movement patterns, physical development, activities, goals and health history, while also identifying any areas that may benefit from additional support.
Using this information, their instructor will create an individualised program tailored specifically to their needs.
The Initial Consultation is included in your Children's Studio Pilates Appointment Pack or can be purchased separately as a single Private Appointment.
2. Follow a personalised program.
Following the Initial Consultation, your child will continue with Children's Studio Pilates Appointments designed around their individual goals and stage of development.
Whether supporting posture, movement development, growing pains, sports performance, dance training, injury recovery or scoliosis management, each appointment is tailored to the child in front of us. Using specialised Pilates equipment and expert instruction, programs are continually adjusted and refined as your child grows and progresses.
3. Support Their Development.
Consistency is key when developing strength, confidence and movement skills. As your child progresses, their instructor will continue to adapt their program to ensure it remains appropriate, engaging and challenging.
We recommend a minimum 6 week commitment to allow time for meaningful progress and lasting results. Depending on your child's goals and needs, ongoing Children's Studio Pilates Appointments may be recommended to support their continued development.
Why Childrens Studio Pilates?
Growing bodies are constantly changing. Every child develops differently, moves differently and faces their own unique challenges and goals. Children's Studio Pilates Appointments allow us to provide personalised support tailored to your child's age, stage of development, activities and individual needs.
Working one-on-one with an experienced instructor, children receive guidance that evolves as they grow. Whether supporting posture, movement development, confidence, sport, dance or a specific physical concern, each appointment is designed to help them move well, feel capable and build strong foundations for lifelong movement.
-
Helping children feel capable in their bodies through achievable challenges and personalised guidance.
-
Building strength, control, flexibility and body awareness to support the demands of dance training.
-
Creating strong movement foundations that can benefit children throughout adolescence and into adulthood.
-
Every child moves differently. Some children naturally have greater flexibility than others and while this can be an advantage in activities such as dance or gymnastics, it can also make it more difficult to develop the strength and stability needed to support growing joints.
Our Children's Studio Pilates sessions focus on building strength, control, coordination and body awareness through carefully individualised exercises. We work at each child's pace to help them move with greater confidence and stability.
For children living with hypermobility syndromes, including conditions such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), sessions are tailored to their individual needs and abilities. Our goal is to help them build strength, improve movement efficiency and support participation in the activities they enjoy.
-
Every child learns and moves differently. Our one-to-one Children's Studio Pilates sessions provide a calm, supportive environment where movement can be adapted to suit each child's individual needs, learning style and sensory preferences.
For children who are neurodivergent, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and other neurodevelopmental differences, Pilates can provide an opportunity to develop body awareness, coordination, balance, strength and movement confidence in a structured yet flexible setting.
Sessions are tailored to each child, allowing us to adjust communication, pacing and activities to create a positive movement experience that supports both physical development and confidence.
-
Supporting healthy movement habits and helping children develop greater awareness of how they move and use their bodies. In today's technology-driven world, where many children spend long periods sitting or using screens, developing good postural awareness and movement patterns is more important than ever.
-
Specialised support from highly trained instructors to help children and teenagers manage scoliosis through movement.
-
Individualised programs designed to complement sporting activities, support recovery from injury and improve movement efficiency.
-
Helping children navigate periods of rapid growth with improved body awareness, strength, coordination and movement confidence.
